Meet Our Spring 2017 Neos: Brother Jeffrey Pugh, “RITZ-KARLTON BANKS”!

Brother Jeffrey Pugh

Jeffrey Pugh is a native of Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Milwaukee High School of the Arts in 2007 where he discovered his passion for acting and teaching. These passions led him to Howard University where, in May of 2011, Jeffrey graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts becoming the first member of his family to earn a college degree.
While at Howard University, Jeffrey was an active member of several campus organizations including: the Howard Gospel Choir, the Howard University Royal Court as Mr. College of Arts and Sciences 2009-2010, the Howard Players, and a founding member of the Wisconsin Club. As Mr. Howard University 2010-2011, he created programing centered around his Platform “Heavy is the Crown” which focused on Assessing the plight of African-American males and providing tools to uplift and support their endeavors. Jeffrey went on to represent the University at various national conferences including the Mr. HBCU Competition where he became Mr. Oratory and 1st runner up.
As the Lead Performing Arts Intern at the Howard University Middle school of Math and Science, Jeffrey taught his students the fundamentals of theatre and used performing arts as a tool for interdisciplinary learning.
Upon Graduation Jeffrey moved to Los Angeles, CA where he wrote the screenplay to his first Short film “Silence”.  While pursuing an acting career, Jeffrey began working in the registration office of Otis College of Art and Design as the Academic Coordinator for the entire college.
Jeffrey is now a resident of New York City where he continues pursuing acting for the stage and television. He is currently in pre-production for his 2nd film entitled River’s Deep, which deals with the Stigma of HIV/AIDS, and is also in the process of writing Beneath the Willow Tree, A Play for the stage.
